Beyoncé Revealed Her Playful Side On Her Instagram Leaving Her With Huge "likes"

Here's Why Beyoncé Is Just Better at Instagram Than Taylor Swift

Beyoncé showed the world how she kicks it in her downtime with the biggest Instagram post of the week.

The 15-second clip represents why she is who she is, perhaps the biggest star on the planet. Also, her Instagram got more likes than Taylor Swift's recent post.

Swift gave the world a peak at how she lip-syncs to Kendrick Lamar while driving. Beyoncé showed us how she dances in a bathrobe and lip-syncs to herself. Both were worthy Instagram moments, but as the charts show, Beyoncé's 945,000 likes in five days definitely tops Swift's 925,000 in three weeks.

Obama’s Immigration Thorough Examination Could Put Burden On States

United States is still on the checking whether to send back home the illegal immigrants staying in America. It was estimated to be around 11.4 million illegal people  in the state in 2011.

Dan Holler, spokesman for the conservative Heritage Action, said, for starters, “it will have a ripple effect on jobs” – because they likely would be handed a Social Security card and the ability to work in more varied occupations.

“That’s going to put extra pressure on a job marketplace that is, by most accounts, not doing so well,” he charged. “Some communities will be hit hard and others won’t, based on where the illegal immigration trends are, and what the job markets are like. There is a jobs component here that just can’t be ignored.”

The draft Obama plan calls for expanding a program known as “deferred action,” which currently allows some undocumented residents who came to the U.S. as children to stay. The potential expansion would extend that to anyone who entered before they were 16, and before January 2010 – a change estimated to affect up to 300,000 people.

The bigger change would, according to the draft, extend the program to some illegal immigrant parents of U.S. citizens and legal residents – affecting up to 4.5 million people.

Its Not A Cage, Youtube Is A Community, Rosanna Pansino said.

If you're looking for a nerdy baking project, look no further than Rosanna Pansino's YouTube channel. The baking whiz has whipped up tons of themed-treats for her online audience. Recently, she was featured in YouTube's star campaign, which highlighted online influencers who were making the biggest waves on the network.

Checking through her speeches, I got to know she make YouTube are "living room" because she dwells on d community site (YouTube) than any other place of hers.

Bethany Mota Admits She Wasn't a Dancer Before Dancing With the Stars

Nineteen-year-old Bethany Mota—one of the young women featured in YouTube's star campaign—never thought she would have her own clothing line at Aéropostale or be a guest judge on Project Runway, let alone be in the running to win ABC's Dancing With the Stars. It's hard to believe that the energetic online starlet, who runs a YouTube fashion and lifestyle vlogging empire, was a shy teen when she started her career in 2009.

Mota's big advice on how to succeed on YouTube is to stay connected with fans. But she adds that you have to be passionate about your channel if you're going to be consistent. "Just watching a YouTube video, you don't really see how much work actually goes into it. It can be a five-minute video, but that could take five days to work on. It's a big task, and it can feel like a chore if you go in with the intention of wanting to be successful," she explained.

She believes by focusing on your audience, you can get the motivation you need to keep going. "Even if you just have five subscribers, you just have to focus on the audience you do have and creating good content for them. As long as you're having fun with it, then that's all that matters," she said.

Why Tech Brands Are Suddenly in Love With Billboards and Subway Adverts

A few years ago, out-of-home advertising was still primarily used by either big, traditional brands or local businesses. But as technology becomes more engrained in everyday life, companies like Facebook, Foursquare and a crop of startups are putting new twists on old-school advertising to build brand recognition and drive app downloads.

Boxed, an app that sells and delivers wholesale packaged-goods, is one such startup enlisting subway ads in New York to drive app downloads. The marketer launched a new subway campaign last week, taking over all ad placements on one side of subway cars. It's the second time Boxed has run underground ads; here's a look at one of them:

"We've tried a lot of ROI-based ad networks, and [out-of-home] averages out if you do it right," said Chieh Huang, CEO of Boxed. "Even though it is more expensive, we can recoup the costs."

Huang acknowledged out-of-home ads are tougher to track than digital, in terms of how many downloads an ad drove, but both tactics are effective in acquiring loyal users, defined as people who keep an app on their phones for a long period of time.

The CEO said the public transit promos work for his company because Boxed is set up to drive sales. While download numbers are important, so is teaching people to shop from their smartphones, which requires a brand-building campaign. The company declined to provide stats but said people who see the out-of-home ads spend more money than those who see the digital ones.

"Because we do drive revenue, we're able to make bigger bets—you don't see a lot of games being advertised in out-of-home yet," Huang noted.

The creative on the Boxed ads are also meant to show off the advantages of shopping online, specifically for New Yorkers who buy in bulk.

Other payment players like Seamless, Venmo and PayPal have all recently leaned on out-of-home to build brand awareness.

In fact, online food takeout company GrubHub Inc.—made up of GrubHub and Seamless—has used out-of-home and subway ads since launching more than 10 years ago in all of its major markets. And with 50 percent of all orders coming from mobile, the ads seem to be getting attention.

"We're capturing people when they're on the way home from work, when they're hungry, so it's natural to drive them to download the app," said Abby Hunt, a rep for GrubHub Seamless.

East Coast healthcare startup Oscar has also made a big bet on out-of-home ads within the past year. Oscar started advertising on the subway in October 2013 with small placements.

"It was a bit of an experiment given that we are a start-up with small budgets compared to all the other health insurance companies out there," said Veronica Parker-Hahn, vp of marketing at Oscar. "We knew we needed a way to drive awareness of Oscar, but we didn't have the money and we weren't quite ready to dive into the pool of TV."

Anecdotally, the ads built buzz and are now being expanded to include more placements and to reach New Jersey.

Traditional, Tech-Driven Creative Goes National
New York's subway has an obvious advantage for tech brands over most markets since it's the primary way people get around. But the out-of-home trend is hitting other major cities, too.

This week, Facebook launched its first out-of-home campaign in Los Angeles and Chicago to promote Messenger, its mobile messaging app.

"By using a variety of [out-of-home] creative in our 'Say Anything Better' brand campaign, we could be a part of the city landscapes while simultaneously showcasing different messaging for Chicago and L.A.," said Rebecca Van Dyck, head of Facebook's brand marketing.

The Menlo Park, Calif.-based company is running billboards in Chicago and L.A.'s airports, freeways and trains with graphic visuals that aim to position Messenger as a mobile app that does more than text messaging. A digital ad buy also includes more traditional app-install ads.

"With all of the features, it allows for a very visual form of communication. We wanted to look at the conversations that people are likely to be having using an app like Messenger," said Matt Skibiak, copywriter at Wieden + Kennedy Portland, Facebook's agency of record behind the campaign.

To help do that, Facebook cast 25 to 30 real people (although not all of them were used) to be the faces of the campaign.

"At their core, Facebook is a product that's composed of real people, and they're not shying away from talking about real things and showing real people in their ads," Skibiak said.

More than 400 protesters stuck their heads in the sand on Australia’s Bondi Beach

More than 400 protesters stuck their heads in the sand on Australia’s Bondi Beach on Thursday, mocking the government’s reluctance to put climate change on the agenda of a G20 summit this weekend.

Prime minister Tony Abbott’s perceived failure to address climate change is all the more galling in the wake of an agreement between the United States and China on Wednesday to limit their carbon emissions, they said.

“Obama’s on board, Xi Jinping’s on board, everyone’s on board except one man,” activist Pat Norman, 28, bellowed into a megaphone on the Sydney beach.

“Tony Abbott!” the protesters shouted back.

As world leaders arrived in the northern city of Brisbane for the G20 summit, more than 100 people dug holes in the famous sand so they could plunge their bodies in halfway.
Parents with babies, school children and working people in business suits dug holes on the beach and stuck their heads in them. The ostrich is said to stick its head in the sand in futile bid to avoid danger.

A few athletic types did handstands with their heads in the sand.

Dozens killed in bombing outside school: Bomber poses as student, blows up school

Kano, Nigeria at least 47 people were killed and 79 were wounded Monday by a suicide bombing outside a school in northern Nigeria, police said.

The attacker was disguised as a student when he set off the explosion in a government boarding school in the town of Potiskum, police spokesman Emmanuel Ojukwu said.

"We suspect Boko Haram is behind the attack," Ojukwu said.

The explosion took place at 7:50 a.m. local time outside the principal's office, where students had gathered for a daily speech.

"We were waiting for our teachers to come and address us at the assembly ground when we heard a huge explosion," student Adamu Ibrahim said.

It was not immediately clear how many of the casualties were students.

Although no one‎ has claimed responsibility for the attack, Boko Haram is the prime suspect.

The radical Islamic militant group has carried out deadly attacks on schools teaching Western curriculum.

In February, Boko Haram gunmen killed at least 40 students when they opened fire and threw explosives in student hostels in a government boarding school in the town of Buni Yadi, in Yobe state.

And last year, 42 students were killed when Boko Haram gunmen attacked dormitories with guns and explosives in a government boarding school near Potiskum.

Keira Knightley Explains Why She Posed Topless Without Retouching: It Feels Important

For Keira Knightley, posing topless was not a decision she took lightly. The British beauty, 29, shed her clothes for a stunning photo spread by acclaimed photographer Patrick Demarchelier in the September issue of Interview magazine, and is now explaining her reasoning for doing so.

"I've had my body manipulated so many different times for so many different reasons, whether it's paparazzi photographers or for film posters," Knightley told The Times of London in a new interview. "That [shoot] was one of the ones where I said, 'Okay, I'm fine doing the topless shot so long as you don't make them any bigger or retouch.' Because it does feel important to say it really doesn't matter what shape you are."

The slender star went fully topless for the shoot, standing with her arms at her sides and exposing her nipples. She appears strong and natural, staring into the camera with a bold stare.

'Duck Dynasty's' Mountain Man reveals why he was once fired from fast food job

He said:
Duck Dynasty's" Tim Guraedy, a.k.a. "Mountain Man," may be an author, radio host and recording artist but he wants us all to know he has stayed true to his roots.

"My son Jonathan and I were hunting and I shot a deer and as I was trying to drag it out, my flashlight went out and a thorn got me in the eye and I couldn't hardly see at all," Guraedy told the reporter of the day he lost his fast food job.

He says his only solution was to drag the deer into his 4-wheel drive and have his 9-year-old son drive home but not before they dropped the deer off in the freezer at his then fast food place of employment, which is something he had done before. But this time it did not go over well with his bosses.

“The managers and supervisors (came in) the next morning and they found that (dead deer) and made a big fuss of it this time,” he recalled. “The health department had just slapped me on the wrist (last time) but this time they decided they were going to get rid of old Mountain Man so they fired me with that deer.”

US troops claimed chemical weapons exposure in Iraq, report says

More than 600 U.S. service members told military medical staff that they believe they were exposed to chemical warfare agents in Iraq after the U.S.-led invasion in 2003, The New York Times reported Thursday. Pentagon officials said the department will now expand its outreach to veterans and establish a toll-free hotline for reporting potential exposures and seeking medical evaluation or care, the newspaper said.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel ordered an internal review of military records after the Times reported in October that U.S. troops encountered degraded chemical weapons from the 1980s that had been hidden or used in makeshift bombs. The initial newspaper report disclosed that 17 service members had been injured by sarin or sulfur mustard agent, and several more came forward after the story appeared, the Times said.
