For Keira Knightley, posing topless was not a decision she took lightly. The British beauty, 29, shed her clothes for a stunning photo spread by acclaimed photographer Patrick Demarchelier in the September issue of Interview magazine, and is now explaining her reasoning for doing so.
"I've had my body manipulated so many different times for so many different reasons, whether it's paparazzi photographers or for film posters," Knightley told The Times of London in a new interview. "That [shoot] was one of the ones where I said, 'Okay, I'm fine doing the topless shot so long as you don't make them any bigger or retouch.' Because it does feel important to say it really doesn't matter what shape you are."
The slender star went fully topless for the shoot, standing with her arms at her sides and exposing her nipples. She appears strong and natural, staring into the camera with a bold stare.
